Membaca Kode Kerusakan Sistem EFI (DTC) Mercedes-Benz Secara Manual
Jika Lampu Check Engine ketika mobil sedang hidup itu menandakan telah terjadi kerusakan yang terekam oleh sistem kontrol mesin.ECU akan menyalakan lampu indikator check engine di dashboard dan menyimpan kode kerusakan atau DTC didalam memori ECU.
Kode DTC tersebut dapat dibaca dengan menggunakan alat scanner atau pada beberapa mobil dapat dibaca secara manual

Cara membaca kode DTC
- Putar Kunci Kontak OFF
- Jumper Terminal 1 dan 4 atau 1 dan 8 dengan kontak switch type Normally open (1 atau 2)
- Hubungkan Test lamp LED antara terminal 3 dan 4 atau 8 dan 16 (1 atau 2)
Catatan : Hubungkan Terminal positive Test lamp LED ke terminal 3 atau 16
- Putar Kuni kontak ON
- Operasikan kontak switch selama 2 – 4 detik
- Hitung kedipan Tes lamp LED. Catat Kode DTC dan lihat pada tabel kode DTC
- Pada Contoh ditampilkan Kode DTC 3 (3)
- Ulangi prosedur pemeriksaan. Catat Kode DTC. Lihat Tabel Kode DTC
- Putar Kunci Kontak OFF
Cara menghapus kode DTC
- Putar Kunci Kontak OFF
- Jumper Terminal 1 dan 4 atau 1 dan 8 dengan kontak switch type Normally open (1 atau 2)
- Hubungkan Test lamp LED antara terminal 3 dan 4 atau 8 dan 16 (1 atau 2)
Catatan : Hubungkan Terminal positive Test lamp LED ke terminal 3 atau 16
- Putar Kuni kontak ON
- Operasikan kontak switch selama 2 – 4 detik
- Operasikan kontak switch selama 5 – 6 detik- BOSCH ECM -08/93
- Lampu LED menampilkan Kode DTC
- Operasikan kontak switch selama 6 – 8 detik
- Operasikan kontak switch selama 8 – 9 detik- BOSCH ECM -08/93
- Ulangi prosedur untuk menghapus semua kode DTC yang tersimpan
- Setelah menghapus Kode DTC 1 : Putar kunci kontak OFF
- Tunggu 2 Detik
- Putar Kunci Kontak ON
- Tunggu 10 detik
- Hidupkan Mesin
